Phuket villa with the biggest private pool and a private beach is for sale
Wrik Sen:
Phuket, which remains one of the world’s top tourist destinations, and remains responsible for a majority of the Thailand’s influx of foreign tourists. Tourists, who visit the city to experience local culture, and the endowments of nature of the area, are subjected to pristine views, a vibrant yet quality time away from busy metropolitan lives common in most of the cities around the world. It’s no wonder that projects like the David Lloyd Homes and the Starwood Naka Island have made this city a major base for their tourism capacity. However, the biggest villa in the city, Villa Verai is on the real estate market with a price tag of $18.7 million, with unparalleled views of the Phang Nga Bay in the horizon, and covering a total land size of 139,307 sq ft. Great architecture is also complementary.
Price: $18.7 million
Setting and location: Based on Phang Nga Bay, the villa stands as a symbol of tranquility, natural beauty, and modernity across a total land area of 139,307 sq ft, out of which the building size covers 20,796 sq ft. So much is its expanse, that’s its beach frontage is itself more than 100 meters in length, which might stand as being unmatched by any other property on the market. The main part of the building has 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms for the owner apart from suite rooms for live-in staff. There also lies separate open space such as the landscaped gardens, apart from amenity areas like the spa and infinity swimming pool, gymnasium, and also a private theater room. With the interior designing done by Debbie Openheimer, there are perhaps no shortcomings, when it comes to beauty of the furniture and artwork which will come with the villa. In short, this is property can be called the oriental paradise home for the beach lover, or rather paradise for the spiritually inclined.
Accommodation and Amenities: Villa Verai includes 7 bedrooms with their attached 7 bathrooms, apart from the 100 meter private beach front access area, 4,500 sq ft living room which also includes a formal dining area for 10 guests, private infinity swimming pool area with spa and gymnasium, private theater area, apart from 2 large kitchens, which match up to the standards of most 5-star hotels around the world. Great care has been taken to look into the minutest of details including the special limestone flooring which keeps the area cooler during warm summers, and also the exterior views of most bedrooms which have a panoramic view of the scenery. In fact, the master suite of the property has the best views apart from a bathroom which has circular tubs apart from men’s and woman’s wash basins and shower area.

Well Planted Roots – The Bagged Lamborghini Murcielago
6 months ago, we poised ourselves with a challenge. As wheel lovers at heart, we found ourselves reminiscing over a nearly two-decade-old HRE catalogue, wondering what it would take to bring back the “glory” days. Could the classics be revived, pulled from the grave and given new life? If so, what would it take? Most importantly, did STANCE|WORKS have the power to pull it all off; could we make it happen?
Well, as the pictures might show, we most certainly did.

In August of last year, we approached HRE with a proposal to bring the wheels from the ’80s and ’90s back to life, updated to suit the cars of today with a bit of vintage flair. Our love for HRE’s older wheels and our desire to see something similar in today’s marketplace meant we walked through HRE’s doors with guns’a’blazin’. Armed with renderings and a pitch, we argued that the industry needed someone to step up to the plate. Few companies can make claims of heritage these days, and even fewer have the ability to revive it.

Our initial render featured a lime-green Lamborghini sitting on the HRE 454, one we had been eyeing for quite some time. The car we fancied for the official unveiling was LB Performance’s bagged and kitted Murcielago… But in order to make it happen, strings had to be pulled. As if getting access to a modified Lamborghini wasn’t hard enough, the one we wanted needed to be shipped to California… From Japan. Of course our friends at MasterMind pulled it off, and it wasn’t long before we found ourselves staring at the Liberty Walk V12-powered exotic.

Even after 6 months of planning, it’s hard to answer the question “Where do we shoot a bright green bagged Lambo?” With each week a new location idea would arise, but as expected on the west coast, securing a location is never an easy thing. With quotes ranging from $6000/day to $1500/hour just to photograph the car, it seemed like getting the perfect location was becoming impossible. After all, a parking lot wasn’t going to cut it.

Once the car arrived from Japan and the wheels had been fitted, the clock began ticking, and it was time to buckle down and find the right place. It wasn’t until D-Day that we stumbled upon the perfect spot: an abandoned lot in the heart of LA, slowly breaking apart as the desert vegetation punched through the asphalt. The lot was wrapped in chain link fencing, untouched by anyone except the wildlife that had taken refuge in the shrubbery. The gold and purple tones of the setting sun lent to the screaming green of the enamel paint, and layer of dust and debris covered the sun-baked tarmac. Simply finding a place to rest the belly of the beast proved a challenge.

As the sun neared the horizon we found ourselves capturing the images we had been anticipating for months. None of us are supercar guys at heart; I know I’m not alone when I’d say I prefer more historic metal, usually with a bit more reserve to it… But every guy’s inner child is excited by a flashy lamborghini when you get up close and personal with it.

It’s been an exciting climax to a long project, with many of us gathering as both co-workers and friends around the Italian bull. After all, changing the industry is worth celebrating. It’s a big step from casual

Report: 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO sells for nearly $32M
Filed under: Classics, Earnings/Financials, Ferrari
Widely regarded as one of the most sought-after cars ever made, it’s not every day that a Ferrari 250 GTO changes hands. But that day, according to reports out of the UK, has come.
Word has it that a private treaty sale – the only way vintage machinery of this caliber ever moves – of one such 1964 model has yielded a purchase price of £20.2 million – $31.8M in equivalent U.S. currency- just shy of the $30-40 million said to have been paid in 2010 for a 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic. In other words, this is the second most valuable car ever sold, and the most expensive ever sold in Britain. Or, at least, whose sale has ever gone on record, as many of these exchanges remain secretive.
Even in this case, although the purchase price was reportedly confirmed by the broker, the identities of the buyer and seller – and of the exact example in question – have not. The speculation is, however, that we’re talking about s/n 5095, which British businessman Jon Hunt is said to have bought from former Samsung chairman Lee Kun-hee in 2008 for £15.7 million (about $20.8M), and that it is now bound for Spain.
Whoever the buyer is, he or she is in good company. Of the 39 examples of the 250 GTO built, one belongs to Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, one to British radio personality and consumate Ferrari collector Chris Evans, and one to fashion icon Ralph Lauren (who also just happens to own a Bugatti Atlantic).

Victory Éclat Cocoa Lager coming soon
(Downingtown, PA) – Victory Brewing announced the upcoming release (2/15) of a new draft-only creation yesterday.

To celebrate the sweet victory of turning 16, Victory Brewing Company has created a chocolate beer. Éclat Cocoa Lager is a beer created in collaboration with West Chester, Pa.-based Éclat Chocolate. The dark lager is brewed using the world’s rarest cacao bean, Peruvian Pure Nacional, which offers just a touch of perceived sweetness to the beer.
“Working with Éclat was an obvious choice for us for our birthday beer,” said Ron Barchet, CEO and co-Brewmaster of Victory Brewing Company. “Their dedication to the finest ingredients and flavors mirrors our own.”
Victory’s Éclat Cocoa Lager will be available at select locations in Pa. and NJ for a limited time, on draft only.

Austin Lee’s VIP Y33 – A Practice In Balance
Almost two years ago, Austin Lee’s EF Honda Civic was featured here on STANCE|WORKS, and to this day it is one of the few executed with such cleanliness. Followed up by a bagged 350Z and now this beautifully done Y33, it should be no surprise that Austin is sticking to his roots of simple, clean, and to the point. It’s a recipe that has served him well, having turned out 3 notable cars at the impressively young age of 21. Perhaps what serves Austin best, however, is his independence towards his modding style.

With his first build, Austin proved it didn’t take a massive budget, a slew of parts, or “look at me” styling to build an attention-grabbing car. His Civic was as simple as it gets, perhaps even mold-breaking in the crowd commonly known for throwing the “less is more” attitude right out the window. Dumped on its belly over cream and chrome steelies, it was one of those cars “just worked.” But there’s no way one could expect Austin to stay content with an aging civic.
He up and sold the car in order to fund the purchase of a Nissan 350Z. Wasting no time, he immediately repainted the car with a new-to-the-chassis champagne metallic color and followed that with air suspension and a set of VIP Modular wheels. There’s little chance you haven’t seen the now semi-infamous car if you frequent any automotive forums.
But in now-typical Austin Lee fashion, he sold the car seemingly immediately after completion. But Austin is back once again, this time putting in work on an Infiniti Y33. He’s only had it for a few weeks now, but we’ve come to expect such builds so rapidly from Mr. Lee. Austin’s tastes are as true as ever, with a Car Studio JDS kit setting the theme for the exterior of the car, and a swap to the Japanese counterpart headlights, grille, and rainguards round it all off.

To drop the car, Austin went with Megan Coilovers, but followed the path of his 350z by going with a bag-over-strut setup utilizing UAS bags and AccuAir management. The kicker, Austin tells me, is the fitment he’s achieved on the 18×10 and 18×12 VIP Modular VX310s. His new-found home in the VIP scene insisted that the drop wasn’t easily doable on 18″ wheels, as 19″s are the typical choice for the bagged guys. Needless to say, Austin laughed in the face of adversity and set his subframe flat on the ground after modifying the suspension beyond the typical recipe of bolt-ons.
Austin doesn’t plan on stopping yet though. He’s already wanting new wheels, more drop, and more camber. He’s already modified his body kit, the only one in the USA. A full interior is in the works, and perhaps some engine work as well. He insists he actually wants to keep this car. How much truth there is to that will only be revealed if and when he actually sells it. In either case, we’re in for a treat. Whether Austin continues to build this Y33, or if he sells it and moves on to the next one, there’s no question it’ll leave us impressed.

Caramelized Onion Dip
I’ve always been a fan of onion dip, have you? Especially with ruffled potato chips. Most of the flavor in the onion dip with which many of us are familiar comes from a package of dried onion soup, which works if you have only 2 minutes to put together a dip. But if you are looking for something a little more special, you can make your own onion dip from scratch. The key is to caramelize the onions first.

HOWTO make pizza in a jar

These twice-baked Pizzas in a Jar seem calculated to enrage TSA operatives, who will doubtless claim that pizza magically becomes a “gel” once you put it in a jar. Nevertheless, that looks like a jar of scrumptiousness, right there.
Basically, all that you will be doing is layering your pizza ingredients into the jar. Here’s the thing, though: if you want more than one layer of pizza dough, you need to bake the layer that is not on top. See how the bottom layer is dough? I learned the hard way, that it comes out slightly soggy because it is not exposed to air.You have two choices:
1. Only top off your ingredients with the dough, that way you can bake it all at once.
2. Add some dough to the bottom layer. Bake it at 375 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, or until it is beginning to crisp and brown. Then, add your other topping layers and top off with more dough. Bake again.
